Empty legs — also called repositioning flights — exist when a chartered aircraft needs to fly without passengers to reach its next booking or return to base. They're offered at reduced rates, but availability can change at short notice. When you pay a deposit, BetterJet confirms availability with the operator and handles the booking on your behalf. It's a win-win: operators fill seats that would otherwise fly empty, and you get access to private charter at a fraction of the full price.
